After breakfast in hotel in Kathmandu you will leave for Bhaktapur, an old city, where you can explore the ancient civilization and its sensitively protected culture and tradition of the medieval time. During the day tour in Bhaktapur, visitors can see sacred ancient temples, palaces, statues and beautiful architecture crafted by the then Newar artists of the 15th century. Bhaktapur city is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage list. In this historic city, you can observe ancient traditions, festivals, and colorful celebrations, mask dance and enjoy typical Newari music of the locality. Next destination on our touring itinerary will be another historic city called Patan, popularly known as ‘City of Fine Arts’. This ancient city is particularly famous for exceptional ancient craftwork.
It is well known for Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, narrow stone paved streets flanked by closely built traditional houses, Buddhist and Hindu shrines. Here you can watch artisans carving woods and making earthen pots. Newar people are still following their traditional lifestyle and preserving their old heritage and cultural values. It is worth visiting the major attractions of UNESCO world heritage site like Patan Museum, Krishna temple, , Golden window, Hiranya Varna Mahavihar, Golden temple, Mahabouddha temple, water spouts and so on . It is highly recommendable to visit Patan durbar square, the typical local market and artistically built houses. Towards the dusk, we will transfer you back to your hotel, ending the splendid day tour.
After breakfast at 9 am you will be picked up by our guide from your hotel and driven to Bhaktapur in a private, air conditioned car/ van for day tour. It is located approximately 20 km east of Kathmandu. After sightseeing in Bhaktapur we will head for Patan city where you will visit Patan Durbar Square, many other iconic temples, walk through the clean but narrow stone paved streets nearby closely built traditional houses and watch artisans carving woods and making earthen pots. After sightseeing we will drop you back to your hotel in Kathmandu and concludes our one day tour.
