3 Nights/4 Days Lhasa Cultural Tour is the shortest and comfortable journey in Tibet. We begin our journey from Kathmandu  to Lhasa by taking a breathtaking trans-Himalayan flight from Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Lhasa, the first night in Tibet will be spent for acclimatization without any activities.  The following two full days you will visit all the popular  sights and monuments within Lhasa which covers Potala Palace, the former residence of the Dalai Lama and the center of power, Jokhang temple, Barkhor Bazaar, Drepung and Sera Monasteries. Lhasa, the  amazing city,  is generally regarded as the heart of Tibet and is filled with unparalleled history, culture, and beauty.

Our sightseeing tour in Lhasa begins through the ancient city of Lhasa. The Potala Palace dominates the skyline with its powerful and ancient architecture. The numerous temples and monasteries surrounding the city allow travelers to experience Tibetan Buddhism first hand. A visit to these ancient monasteries will leave you with a sense of awe.


Itinerary

Arrive in Lhasa (Gongar) airport and be greeted by our airport representative who will escort you to the hotel with 1.5 hrs drive. Rest of the day is leisured, acclimatize yourself to the high latitude. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel

We begin our sightseeing tour that includes Potala Palace, the greatest monumental structure in Tibet, and it was once the center for both spiritual and temporal power of Tibet. You will be attracted deeply by rooms, halls, chapels, and furnishings of Potala Palace. And the stories that took the place there will convulse you absolutely. In the afternoon, we will visit Jokhang Temple which is the holiest Tibet's temples. A palpable sense of reverence accompanies a visit here. The constant bustle, dazzling paraphernalia of worship, flickering butter lamps and wreaths of heady incense make the Jokhang Temple one of Tibet's most memorable experiences. Finally, we will visit fascinating Barkhor Bazaar which is Lhasa's liveliest place and it is also the main route for prayer wheels rotating. Overnight stay at hotel

This morning we make a sightseeing tour of the Drepung monastery which was once Tibet's richest Monastery, with four colleges and 10,000 monks in its heyday in the 17th century. A group of white buildings stands on the hillside and out against the majestic Mt. Gambo Utse, here you can get a wonderful view of the Lhasa City and surrounding scenery. The next sightseeing spot is Sera Monastery. It is famous for its warrior monks, Dob-Doa. After that, we will visit Norbulingka which was once the summer palace of the Dalai Lamas. It contains several palaces, chapels, and buildings. Finally, we drive back to the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.

Our guide will escort you to the airport for the return flight to your home country, or continue your journey to next destination
