Itinerary

An early morning wake up and transfer to the domestic airport to board the flight to Lukla. We take off to our destination-Lukla- on a 35 min scenic mountain flight. After a cup of tea at local Lodge in Lukla, we will tread on the legendary “Everest Highway” which heads downwards through the alpine valley following the “Dudh Kosi” or milk river (named after its milky color from glacial silt). We reach Phakding after 3hrs walk and end our first-day trek here. Overnight at lodge.

Today we walk mostly uphill through the alpine valleys. We cross Dudh Kosi River a few times before we reach Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital of the Khumbu region. In the evening, walk around the market or hike till the top of Namche for better view of snow capped mountains. On a clear day, you get panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, Kusum Kangru, Kwangde and Taweche on the way to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at lodge.

The trail follows a fairly flat path along the valley with stunning views of Everest, Nuptse, and Lhotse coming into view. There is a steep descent taking us through a forest towards the bridge over the Dudh Kosi. After crossing the river we climb up a zigzagging path through a rhododendron forest where we may encounter both musk deer and wild colorful peacocks. The climb goes steep as we approach Tyangboche, which opens up to breathtaking views of Everest, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Taboche. Tyangboche, famous for its legendary monastery, is the largest in the Khumbu area. There will be time to visit both the monastery and the museum. After visiting Tyangboche monastery we continue our trek to Debuche. Overnight at lodge

This stretch of the trek from Deboche to Dingboche is through some pretty nice shady forest trails, full of Birches, Conifers, and Rhododendrons. The trail continues along the ridge on the true right side all the way to Dingboche while Ama Dablam's thumb like visage dominates the trail most of the time. In the late afternoon hike up towards Nagarjuna Hill for better view and acclimatize you body. Overnight at lodge.

The trail ascends a bit up to the Chorten above Dingboche and then gradually ascends to northwest Khumbu valley until we reach Duglha. From Duglha the trail is steeply uphill and we reach the memorial place of people who died while climbing Everest. Then, the trail from this point drops a bit and follows the western side of the valley to Lobuche. Overnight at Lobuche.

From Lobuche we trek to Gorak Shep following the Khumbu Glacier and after exploring the place we hike to Everest Base Camp. We watch the spectacular view of the Khumbu icefall and the route to the South Col. Then we return to Gorakshep for overnight stay retracing back our previous trail. Overnight at lodge.

Today is definitely the climax of our trek. We will be hiking to Kala Patthar at dawn very early morning to view the sunrise on Mt. Everest and other peaks. Kala Patthar is a famous viewpoint, gives us a splendid panoramic view of Mt. Everest and other peaks. There will be prayer flags hung along the way as we climb the rocky trails. After spending a while in the viewpoint, we'll trek back to Gorak Shep for breakfast and rest for a while. Then, we continue our trek to Pheriche, a small beautiful village. The trail to Pheriche has forests and meadows along the way.

We descend through a hillside filled with rhododendron and juniper trees and cross a bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. As we are heading back, we can click pictures and enjoy the view of the top of Everest and back side of Lhotse. After finally arriving at Namche Bazaar, we will head to our lodges and rest. and relax.

On this final day's trek we reach Lukla. This 7 to 8-hour trek takes us through the villages of Jorsale, Monjo, Phakding, Ghat, Thado Koshi, and Cheplung. On arrival in Lukla you will have time to relax and celebrate the completion of your trek.

This morning we will transfer you to Lukla airstrip for your flight back to Kathmandu. The 35-minute flight to Kathmandu usually leaves early from Lukla but this depends on the weather. Transfer to your Hotel.
