Langtang- Gosainkund Trek takes you to the wildest and scenically most beautiful spot in Nepal. The journey begins with a  long drive from Kathmandu up to the lovely hill town of Syabrubensi where you will find a few lodges for an overnight stay. Next day the hike starts fromSyabrubenshi along the north side of the Langtang Valley to Sherpa Gaon where you will spend the second night in a  lodge. While trekking, you will pass through beautiful and conifer forests of the Langtang National Park taking you to the higher altitude. After an overnight stay at  Langtang Village, you will continue your hike to next destination walking over the high alpine yak pastures, glaciers and moraines around Kyangin and trek further up the Sacred Lake Gosainkund (4380 m). The area around Lake Gosainkund remains mostly enveloped in mist, and in clear weather, you can see beautiful mountains to the north. In the winter the lake remains frozen. Gosainkund is sacred for both Hindus and Buddhist, and every full moon day in the month of August many visitors from different parts of Nepal and India throng to celebrate the Gosainkund festival.

During the Langtang/Gosainkund trekking, you will have an opportunity to explore the whole range of Himalayan topography, ethnic culture, and lifestyle of the local people. Besides, you will also have a chance to see some interesting animals and birds on the side of trails. Among those found in the Langtang National Park are monkeys, musk deer, pika and the national bird of Nepal, the colorful pheasant.

Itinerary

You will be cordially received at Tribhuwan International airport and transferred to the hotel. After freshening up in the hotel, the meeting will be held in the hotel lobby with a guide. He will check your trekking equipment and other necessary things.

Today after breakfast, we start guided sightseeing to major historical and religious sites in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites that include the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists shrine (Buddhanath) which is one of the largest Stupas in the world. After breakfast, we start our journey to Syabru Beshi from Local bus stand called Machha Pokhari by Tourist standard bus following the Pashang Lhamu highway. The distance from Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi is 57.8 milea/122kms, It takes 8-9 hrs to reach by a bus ride, as the bus travelers through a hillside route and papers of tourist get checked in several places, while we can have our lunch on the way there, we drive through some nice settlement like Trishuli, Kalikasthan, Dhunche, and others, we will spend our night at Shyafru Beshi along with village inhabited by ethnic caste mainly Lama and Tamang

In this day after having breakfast, we start our hiking from the main town, walk northward past a police post (for register ) to a suspension bridge over the Bhote Koshi river just north of the junction with Langtang Khola then we continue our hike through dense Rhododendron forest, after long hike we get in place called Pahiro, might be we can have our lunch there and continue onwards to our destinations, On the north bank of Langtang Khola the trail climbs alongside a series of waterfalls till Bamboo, After Bamboo we climb steeply towards Renche, last gently uphill take us to the place Lama Hotel for overnight stay.

Langtang Village is destination set for today, After having breakfast we start our treks towards Langtang Village, the trail continues to follow Langtang Khola through a dense forest of Hemlocks, Maples and Rhododendrons, After passing Gumanchowk (Riverside) we reach in Ghoda Tabela for lunch. From Ghora Tabela if there is blue sky we can enjoy with finest view of Langtang Lirung (7227m), which is the highest peak of the Langtang Himal, a subrange of the Nepalese Himalayas. From Ghora Tabel the trails more gradually through a glacial valley to the village of Thangshyap, Gumba and finally we reach Langtang Village for overnight stay.

Today is not our Acclimatization day, we are not staying there for that but outstanding views will be stopping for us, In this day you have a three options to explore your day, the one is Hike to the base camp of Langtang Lirung Glacier, From here you have an amazing view of the bowl-shaped valley that is surrounded by impressing peaks. The second option was the hike to a Lake, Sitting by the lake, enjoying amazing views with a backdrop of high mountains and the glacier. The third option was hike to the kyanjin Ri viewpoint (we recommend), its a beat challenge hike because of we need to climb up to the viewpoint which was 4600m. The trail was steep and narrow while the view was spectacular, glacier and lake again. Back to the hotel and overnight stay

Lama Hotel is destination set for today, After breakfast, we start our trek, we follow the same traceback through which we hiked yesterday and the day before, long downhill take us to again Lama Hotel for overnight stay.

From Lama Hotel we move to Thulo Syabru, we follow the same trail descend until Bamboo, we might be stopping for some tea/coffee there. After Bamboo trail starts to climb, almost two hours hike takes us to huge settlement of Tamang ethnic group exists. our night will be there at nice lodge of Thulo Syabru.

Laurebina is destination set for the day, After having breakfast we start our trek, We walk over the pastures at Foprang Hill and reach Chandanbari where Shin Gompa exists. This place is providing lunch for us and we continue to our trek to Laurebina, the trail from Shin Gompa was again uphill through Cholangpati, after passing sanctuary of red panda we get in Laurebina., It offers some majestic mountain view of Annapurna Range, Manaslu Himal, Ganesh Himal, and other peaks. we spend our night at Laurebina.

Our destination is Gosainkunda for the day, It is an alpine freshwater oligotrophic lake in Nepal's Langtang National park, located at an altitude of 4,380m/14,370 ft in the Rasuwa District with a surface of 13.8hector. It is a nice lake which is believed to have been created by Lord Shiva when he thrust his Trishul (holy Trident) into a mountain to extract water so that he could cool his stinging throat after he had swallowed poison. After moving from Laurebina we follow the Langtang Gosainkunda Trail, we pass by some roofless stone huts and reach the nice holly place for overnight stay.

Ghopte is destination set for the day which lead by Laurebina pass (4610m/15351ft) trail, After having breakfast we start our hike towards Laurebina pass, the trail till here is steep climb passing by Ganesh Kunda, Surya Kunda and Ama kunda. After the top trail starts downhill all the way to Phedi where we can have our lunch. Then another an hour descend through Dhupi Chaur we reach in Ghopte for overnight stay.

In this day we are going to Kutumsang, after having breakfast we start our trek from Ghopte with following the Langtang Gosainkunda route. we move for Kutumsang. We take a small ascent to cross Thadepati pass standing at an elevation of 3690m then walk again downhill through Mangengoth. Here we can have our lunch and we further continue to the Kutumsang via kuyola Pass. We spend our night at Kutumsang.

Today's destination is Chisapani which means the place with Cold Water. After having breakfast we move to Chisapani from Kutumsang with following the Helambu Trail. The trail is exciting as we pass by many natural gifts like Shree Ganesh Gosainkunda Lake, beautiful Tamang villages, Gul Bhanjhyang along with tea shops then we walk through the stony paths while we cross two beautiful hills, Thankune Bhanjhyang, and Pati Bhanjhyang. From there another an hour slidely downhill takes us to Chisapani for overnight stay.

This morning we have our breakfast with enjoying the beautiful sceneries of Mt.Dorje Lakpa, Ganesh Himal, Gauri Shankar and other some small butterfly peaks. The Trail starts from Chisapani to all the way to Sundarijal via the dense forest. The trail was down and down till the Sundarijal via Borlang bhanjyang and Mulkharka. On the way, we can have our lunch if not some drinks with snacks push us for lunch at Kathmandu. From Chisapani we take a private coach and we transfer you to Hotel, Evening you have a nice farewell dinner by Adventure Blossom for the treks feedback and overnight stay at hotel which is in Thamel.

This is the last day with Adventure Blossom ,if your flight is early morning we will drop you to the International airport to catch your flight back to your home and if your flight is late in the evening you can go for some shopping or you can re-laxly rest on your hotel ,but if you have more days in Nepal we will arrange some more adventures for you and accommodations too. Anyway, we will drop you to the airport for your final departure.
