Langtang Heli Tour  is  a short and  exciting trip to Langtang trekking region in Nepal. During the tour, you will have an opportunity to enjoy the astonishing views of Mt. Langtang, Mt. Lurung, Jugal Himal, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Paldor Peak, Yala Peak, Naya Kanga, and Mt. Gaurishankar. And get acquainted with Nepal’s ethnic group of people and get some insights about their unique culture, tradition, and lifestyle. Langtang is a region in the north-central Himalayas of the Bagmati Province of Nepal. Situated 51 kilometres north of the Kathmandu Valley, the region is renowned for hosting the Langtang national park which eventually constitutes the border with the Tibet autonomous region of China. About 4,500 people reside inside the park (with Tamang as majority), and many more depend on it for timber and firewood.

 Langtang Heli Tour begins from Tribhuvan International Airport. You will enjoy aerial views of Kathmandu Valley as the chopper makes its way to Langtang region. During the flight, you will enjoy the beauty of the green hills, villages and serpentine rivers flowing past the mountains. With your camera, you can capture the breathtaking sight of snowcapped Himalayan peaks and Gosainkunda Lake. The helicopter lands briefly at Kyangjin Gompa, a Tamang settlement with an ancient Buddhist Monastery located inside the  Langtang national park . You soak in the sights of the snow-covered mountains and glaciers. After exploring the area and refreshment at a local café. Then you will fly back to Kathmandu. The village of Langtang was completely destroyed by a massive avalanche followed by the earthquake in April 2015.The village suffered an estimated 310 deaths, including 176 Langtang residents, 80 foreigners, and 10 army personnel. More than 100 bodies were never recovered.

Langtang region comprises beautiful places with both natural and religious tenets. From holy lakes of Gosaikunda to natural hot springs, we can explore a variety of landscapes in this region. Trekkers can enjoy the diverse culture and lifestyle of Sherpa and Tamang people. People here are earning their living through tourism and yak farming. Yak cheese factory here is also one of the destinations to be at. People here are believed to be from the Tibetian origin. Hence you can also experience cross-cultural diversities of Tibetian and Nepali ethnic groups. A lifestyle of Tamang, Lama, Gurung, and Sherpa community living in this region look similar to Tibetians. Hindus and Buddhist devotees visit this region with religious faith.

Itinerary

- 7:30 AM: From the domestic terminal of Kathmandu Airport we take a chartered helicopter to Langtang region. There will be a maximum of 5 people in a helicopter. You can take photos and can get the experience of dreaming environment and explore the region - 8:30 AM: We will land at Kyanjin Gompa and explore the villages nearby - 9: 00 AM: We return to Kathmandu - 9: 30 AM: We will transfer you to Hotel
