This village is naturally enriched for relaxation.  While on the trekking tour, one can experience rich rural culture, religion, and lifestyle of the villagers. The walking trail passes through terraced fields, traditional farmhouses and forested ridges. And the trail meets with local folks in their distinctive attire, porters carrying loads, flocks of sheep and goats grazing around. Balthali Village Trek is the perfect trek for the family with children to spend a short holiday in Nepal.

Life in rural Nepal is quite simple where you can observe many religious and social carnivals of the area during the visit. From the village we can see the picturesque snow-clad peaks of Langtang Himalayas in the distance. Balthali village is also outstanding for nature lovers and bird watchers to spend a few days in the rural atmosphere exploring the exceptional species of wildlife. Many of the holy and ancient temples and monasteries are located in the periphery of Balthali village.

On this trekking journey, you discover the mysterious past with hike in Dhulikhel periphery. Dhulikhel Municipality boasts as a major touristic destination with attractions that range from natural scenario to cultural and historical elements. One can view the Himalayan range at an 180o panoramic view of mountains including Mt. AnnapurnaMt. Ganesh Himal, Mt. Langtang, Mt. Phuribichyachu, Mt. Gaurishankar, Mt. Lhotse among others. Other natural attractions include locations like Tundikhel plus cultural and religious sites like Bhagawati, Kalidevi, Gita Mandir, Gaukhureshwor.

Itinerary

In the morning we drive from Kathmandu to Dhulikhel and then hike for 3 hours through local villages and rice terraces up to Namo Buddha. This is a sacred Buddhist place where Lord Buddha is believed to have saved the life of a tiger which is dying from hunger. Lord Buddha gave the dying tiger his flesh. From this sacred place, we walk another 3 hours to Balthali village. Overnight in Resort

Today we explore around a typical Buddhist village called Danda Gaon where a Buddhist community inhabits. Similarly, we can walk to Pada gaon from here you can have a majestic view of the whole Himalayan ranges to the north and beautiful green forest to Mahabharat Range. After having a pleasant walk we return to a resort for overnight stay.

After breakfast, we continue to hike to the typical Newari village of Panauti. This traditional Newar settlement has a particularly rural character and a variety of farm products are offered for sale throughout the town. Panauti is popular for having a large number of fascinating temples. From Panauti we drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu
