Sunrise Poon Hill trek is considered to be one of the short treks in the Annapurna region.
This trek can be completed in 7 days and is suitable for people of all ages both young and adult,
including families with children. You will walk through beautiful villages and rhododendron
forests, with the backdrop of the Annapurna Himalaya. Poon Hill (3,210m) is the ultimate
destination of this trek. From the viewpoint of Poon Hill, you will see the entire Annapurna
The Himalayan mountain range along with Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Tukuche, and Lamjung Himal. Hiking
up to Poon Hill in the early morning to watch the sunrise over these stunning snow-covered
mountains are something extraordinary and unimaginable.Sunrise Poon Hill trek starts from the beautiful village Nayapul, after an hour-long drive
from Pokhara. After crossing the suspension bridge over Modi River, you will gently ascend
through Gurung ethnic villages and farm terraces having enjoyed the views of Mount
Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) while trekking. On the second day you will pass through
rhododendron forest before you reach Ghorepani hill. Next early morning we make an early
climb for one hour to the Poon hill to watch the spectacular view of the Dhaulagiri, Annapurna,
Nilgiri and other famous mountains of the region. After spending a couple of hours at Poonhill,
we return trek to Ghorepani and have breakfast, After breakfast, we follow the same trail back to Nayapul and Pokhara. Next day we back to Kathmandu by driving then trek is done.
