On your escorted tour, you will visit the National Library, the National Institute of Traditional Medicine, the School of Traditional Arts and Crafts (commonly known as Zorig Chusom), the National Textile Museum, the Folk Heritage Museum in Thimphu. The backdrop of the Himalayas, the sheer magnificence and size of the deities, paintings and Dzongs is something you’ll always remember.


Itinerary

On arrival at Paro airport, you will be received by our Bhutan counterpart. After Customs and Immigrations formalities, you will be escorted to the hotel. In the evening you will visit Paro Dzong and explore the bustling town of Paro. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Paro

A short drive to Satsam Chorten From there a 2-hour horse ride to Takstang till the viewpoints of the monastery. Light refreshment and lunch will be served at the Cafeteria, followed by a short walk to Satsam Chorten and a 2-hour drive to Thimphu. The road runs down through the Paro valley, to Chuzom (Confluence) at the entrance to the valley, where the Paro and Thimphu rivers meet. The road passes along a narrow valley with high, rocky cliffs on the left, and then the valley opens out into farmland on the approach to Thimphu. Check in hotel & relax

After breakfast sightseeing tour begins in Thimphu. You will visit the National Library, the National Institute of Traditional Medicine, the School of Traditional Arts and Crafts (commonly known as Zorig Chusom), the National Textile Museum, the Folk Heritage Museum, Zoo which houses the national animal Takin, Tashichhodzong, and the National Memorial Chorten. After lunch, you will stroll around the town and visit local handicraft shops. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.

After early breakfast, we will drive up to Dochu-La pass (3,088m/ 10,130 ft) stopping briefly here to take in the view and admire the chorten, mani wall, and prayer flags which decorate the highest point on the road. If the sky is clear, the view of the peaks is seen from this pass. Dinner and overnight in Punakha

After breakfast, we will drive to Thimphu. After lunch, we will continue drive following the Thimphu river until Chuzom (Confluence) and taking the direction toward Paro. In the evening stroll around Paro Bazaar and return to the hotel
