Chisapani Nagarkot Hiking is 3  days Chisapani Nagarkot  Short Trek is easy, short and very popular among those hikers who want to experience the best of nature,  local rural life, culture and a bit adventure experience in a short span of time. You will also enjoy the beautiful Himalayan views, a captivating sunset, and sunrise from Chisapani and Nagarkot.

This short hike begins in the Kathmandu valley rim after a short drive to Sundarijal, a popular hangout and busy picnic spot in the north of Kathmandu. Sundarijal falls inside the boundaries of Shivapuri National Park, a place of cool shades, tall trees, beautiful streams and serene atmosphere — all in striking contrast to the hurly and burly of  Kathmandu city.  The trek ends the next day after descending from Nagarkot to Changu Narayan, the oldest temple built around 323 AD, and eventually, drive back to Kathmandu. 3 days Chisapani Nagarkot Short Trek is not a high altitude trek, yet it features everything you could imagine in just 3 wonderful days.

This trek ideal for beginners and for those wanting to see great views of the mighty Himalayas. It is close to Kathmandu and you should not miss this trek, otherwise, you will regret.


Itinerary

This short and easy trek starts from Kathmandu, After having breakfast we start our drive towards Sundarijal by Private coach (car/jeep/van, as per group size). Distance from Kathmandu to Sundarijal is almost 27 km while it takes almost two-hour drive. Our car drop us there and we start our hiking, the first part is steep climbing, we follow the Drinking water pipeline towards the damp. On the way, we pass one checkpoint where we need to check-in Shivapuri Nagarjun National National Park. After two hours of hiking, we reach one place called Mulkharka for our lunch. After lunch, another two hours uphill climb through dense shrub takes us to Borlang Bhyanjang. From there, the trail starts downhill towards Chisapani where we spent our night there at nice lodge.

Chisapani is very famous for to see the Gaurishankar, Langtang, and Ganesh Himal Range with the beautiful sunrise. It's not far from Kathmandu that's why especially Friday nights there may be crowd because of lots of Nepalese visitors. After watching the majestic views of Mountains we can go for our breakfast. Then we move from thereby follow the motor road while not more vehicle was running. After two hours walk through the dense forest we reach in another check post at Jhule by National Park Protected Forse. After finishing paperwork we continue to follow the downward till Chauki Bhanjyang for lunch. After lunch, again we follow some motor road part until Jarshing Pauwa. Then another an hour hike which is all the way up takes us to Nagarkot Village for overnight stay. At evening we can walk around the market. It's famous for Tongba(rice beer ), don't forget to teste.

Early morning we wake up for sunrise view if the weather was perfectly clear we might be able to see a tiny view of Mt Everest, which was very far then we back for breakfast. In this day we are not walking a full day however we walk till Chagunarayan. The trail from Nagarkot start slowly downhill to Tailkot, then another an hour uphill through fir forest takes us to top while we can enjoy the bird watching and bird sounds, from the top trail, starts to little downhill and flat towards Chagunarayan which is also listed in UNESCO world heritage site, We can go there for visit and having our lunch where our car is waiting for us to drive back to Kathmandu and transfer you to a hotel.
