After breakfast in the hotel, our tour guide will come to pick you up at your hotel and take you to the historical city of Patan. It is located approximately 36 km South-East from Kathmandu. After day tour of Patan Durbar Square (World Heritage Site), you will visit Bungamati, a small Newari village that lies just a few kilometers from Patan. The Newar community is one of Nepal’s ethnic groups of people. This village is famous for chariot festival known as Rato Macchendranath Jatra and exquisite woodwork that has adorned thousands of homes, temples, and museums. Here, you will experience the Newari culture and rural lifestyle. Also, you can visit a large 3-storied temple which is dedica
ted to the Hindu mother goddess, Shikali Mai.
After Bungamati, we drive you to Taudaha Lake is a small lake in the outskirts of Kathmandu. This lake is stop over for plenty of migratory bird species that include the Rudy Shelduck, the common coot, and the common pochard. For those interested in Bird Watching activities Taudaha Lake could be the best spot. Our last leg of the tour will be Hattiban set amidst a thick pine forest and far away from the humdrum of city life. From Hattiban you can enjoy spectacular views of the Kathmandu Valley below and the Himalayan mountains range in the distance. After spending a couple of hours at Hattiban we will drive you back to Kathmandu. stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
